SketchBook Mobile...

A couple of months ago I read about an app that seemed really interesting - a free sketch book for mobiles! Being a former illustrator who hasn't used her pen for a long time this seemed like a good way to start sketching again - and I LOVE IT! As i always have my iPhone with me I also always have a sketch book with different pens, pencils, watercolors... you name it - all built in! The first time I tried the app was at a fair listening to an inspiring lecture by Jimmy Schönning. You'll find the portrait I made on his blog: http://jimmyschonning.blogspot.com/2011/10/as-i-came-to-fogia-today-for-meeting-i.html I didn't master the technique at the time but I'm glad he likes it.
You should try it out!

Add some color!

My little garden...

Last year I won a competition for best balcony, and this year I spent the gift voucher on lots of plants!
I went for greens, blues, some pink and white. I also bought some herbs (thyme, parsley, lemon balm and chive) as I just love to pick fresh chive for my breakfast sandwich or put some lemon balm in my tea, all summer long. It turned out quite nice, don't you think?

The prize winning picture...

1.000 sek worth of plants!

Columbine, two types of thyme, violets and my cherry tree in the middle.

Blossoming thyme. It smells delicious...

...and I bought a new cushion cover that matches
the colours of the flowers on the balcony. Très chic!

The Actor's Apartment

This stunning studio apartment in Marais belongs to a friend of mine. Look at the colour combinations and the beautiful details! It's simply wonderful. Together with the soft light coming through the windows they create quite a meditative mood which suits the owner perfectly.

Fresh Start!

I haven't posted anything for a while due to massive workload and unwelcome pneumonia, but now I'm back! I just love the feeling of a fresh start that comes with a new year. The picture shows japanese candy symbolizing a happy, prosperous new year 2011. (It was given to me by a japanese TV team that filmed my kitchen a month ago.)
Anyway, I just came home from Paris and Maison & Objet with loads of inspiration and beautiful photos so make sure to stop by as I have quite a lot I want to show you, starting with my Parisian friend's studio apartment...
